Child-Focused Support
Volunteers may contribute to the daily life of the Centre by supporting appropriate educational, recreational and developmental activities. All activities involving children should be carried out with respect for their dignity, privacy, safety and individual needs.

Education and Learning
Educational Support
Volunteers with relevant skills or experience may support learning activities, literacy, numeracy, creative activities and other educational initiatives. The aim is to complement the work of the Centre and encourage children's interest in learning and personal development.
Educational activities are coordinated according to the needs of the children and the priorities identified by the Centre.

Sharing Professional Experience
Individuals with professional experience in areas such as education, healthcare, counselling, social work, administration or other relevant fields may be able to contribute their knowledge and expertise.
Professional volunteering is considered according to the Centre's needs and the volunteer's qualifications and experience.

Practical and Community Support
Volunteers may also support activities that contribute to the day-to-day functioning and development of the Centre. Depending on current needs, this may include assistance with community initiatives, educational projects, practical activities or other approved areas of work.
All volunteer activities are agreed with the Centre in advance and are coordinated by the appropriate members of staff.

A Responsible Approach to Volunteering
The safety and wellbeing of the children are the Centre's highest priority. Volunteers are expected to respect the Centre's policies, follow staff guidance and maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
Volunteers must respect confidentiality and the privacy of the children and must not share photographs, personal information or stories without appropriate authorisation.
